Reading the number honestly
Biological age testing is genuinely useful and it is also routinely oversold. Being clear about both halves is part of how HFW uses it, and it is the difference between a number that informs a plan and a number that just sells one.

DNA methylation is a chemical tag your cells add to DNA to switch genes on and off. The pattern shifts with age, environment, and behavior, which is what makes it measurable, and why measuring it more than once tells you something a single genetic test never can.
Trained against chronological age. These produce your intrinsic age, which reads the cells themselves, and your extrinsic age, which includes immune cell shifts. Where the two diverge is itself informative, and the higher of the two is the one worth prioritizing.
Trained against aging phenotypes rather than the calendar, so they track health outcomes more closely than age alone. This is where methylation-based telomere length sits.
Measures rate rather than accumulated state, answering whether you are currently aging faster or slower than one year per year. It is the output most likely to move first, often within three months of a real change in what you do. Overall biological age is slower, usually six months or more.

What actually happens on the introductory call
It is a conversation, not a sales call. An advanced care clinician works through what is going on with you, what you have already tried, what you are hoping to change, and any results you already have.
You leave with a recommended starting point. In almost every case that is testing, and which of the three above makes sense depends on what you are trying to answer. If HFW is not the right fit for you right now, you will be told that too.
Your results are then reviewed with you over video, and that conversation is where any longer-term options, including membership, get discussed. Nothing about that is decided on the first call.

Short answers to what people ask before booking.
Chronological age is how many years you have lived. Biological age is an estimate of how your body appears to be aging, based on measurable biological patterns rather than your birthday. Two people the same chronological age can show meaningfully different biological patterns. Biological age is an estimate and a piece of context, not a diagnosis and not a prediction of lifespan.
No one can promise that. Epigenetic testing estimates patterns associated with the pace and systems of aging, and a score can move. What a score change does not prove is that a person has literally reversed aging, that they will live longer, or that one specific treatment caused the change. HFW uses biological age as one layer of context alongside your history, conventional labs, body composition, and function, and does not guarantee age reversal.
TruAge is an epigenetic assessment that uses DNA methylation patterns and vendor algorithms to estimate aging-related patterns, pace of aging, and system or organ-level aging outputs. HFW uses it to add long-term context and to create a baseline that can be tracked alongside conventional risk factors, symptoms, function, and body composition. It is not a diagnosis.
TruAge is $500 standalone, covering the test and the clinician review together. TruAge combined with TruHealth is $750, covering both tests and the review. Pace of aging is an estimate of how quickly biological aging patterns appear to be progressing, as opposed to a single point-in-time age estimate. It is one output among several and is interpreted alongside your symptoms, conventional labs, body composition, and function. It is context for prioritizing long-term care, not a verdict.
Some epigenetic reports estimate aging-related patterns for particular systems rather than one whole-body number. These estimates can help a clinician think about where to focus first. An elevated system-level estimate does not mean that organ has a disease, and it is interpreted alongside conventional evaluation.
