Why HFW exists

We are not here to replace conventional medicine. We are here to complete the picture.

HFW was created to serve the space between reactive sick care and product-first optimization. Traditional care is essential for emergencies, acute care, and major disease, and it often lacks the time and structure to help healthy people act proactively, or to help patients whose symptoms do not fit a clear disease label. The optimization market has the opposite problem: it frequently sells peptides or medications before doing the work to find out whether those tools are appropriate for the person.

HFW is built around a different idea. Know the patient. Test when it can change a decision. Identify the real priorities. Use the least intervention reasonably necessary. Then track it, and keep going until progress lasts.

Meet the HFW team

Clinician-led care with physician medical direction

Not everyone at HFW is a doctor, and that distinction matters. Each person's role and scope is stated openly so you know who makes which decision about your care. Prescription decisions are evaluated and issued by an appropriately authorized HFW prescriber. Our Learn articles carry a named clinical reviewer and a review date. See our clinical review process →

Christina Warner, APN-CChristina Warner, APN-CBoard-Certified Women's Health Nurse Practitioner. Advanced care clinician.

Christina brings 25 years of clinical experience and a personal understanding of what it means to be dismissed by a system that does not always see the whole person. She conducts evaluations, reviews testing, develops and adjusts plans, and evaluates prescription eligibility within her licensed scope.

Focus: perimenopause and menopause; estrogen, progesterone, testosterone, thyroid, and cortisol patterns; fertility, preconception, pregnancy, and postpartum care; bioidentical hormone therapy; endometriosis and complex women's health concerns; gut health and GI-MAP; chronic symptoms that standard labs miss.

How Christina thinks: symptoms are signals, labs are clues, and the whole person matters.

Dr. Eric Landi, KICP, DCDr. Eric Landi, KICP, DCCo-Founder. Longevity and Functional Medicine.

Dr. Landi brings over a decade of clinical experience and a data-driven approach to functional medicine, peptide therapy, metabolic health, and longevity care. He helped bring a formal functional medicine framework into HFW in 2020 and continues to guide the testing-first, optimization-focused model that defines the practice.

Focus: advanced functional testing strategy, peptide sequencing, bioregulator support, metabolic optimization, mitochondrial and cellular health, gut-brain-longevity connections, and long-term biomarker tracking.

How Dr. Landi thinks: the better the data, the more precise the strategy.

Dr. Saul Maslavi, MDDr. Saul Maslavi, MDMedical Director. Board-Certified Family Medicine Physician.

Dr. Maslavi is a board-certified family medicine physician with more than 20 years of clinical experience. His role at HFW is physician-level oversight, safety review, complex-case guidance, and clinical policy across hormone optimization, metabolic health, inflammation-related conditions, biological age tracking, and advanced therapeutic protocols. His role is primarily medical direction rather than routine patient visits.

How Dr. Maslavi thinks: normal labs reflect population averages. They do not always reflect optimal health.

ARAnthony ReyesAccountability and Habit Coach. Nonclinical.

Anthony brings more than two decades of experience as a trainer. He helps you build consistent habits around nutrition, exercise, sleep, and other clinician-approved priorities, with regular check-ins so progress does not depend on motivation alone. He does not diagnose, interpret testing, prescribe, select therapies, change doses, or manage side effects. Clinical questions go back to your advanced care clinician.

Scott M. Davis, CPAScott M. Davis, CPACo-Founder and Chief Operating Officer. Nonclinical.

Scott is a Certified Public Accountant with more than a decade of experience advising business owners and closely held companies, and is certified in clinical peptide therapy through Peptide University. At HFW he turns the clinical vision into a practice that works for patients: technology, patient experience, laboratory relationships, product sourcing standards, pricing transparency, and operational standards.

His role is entirely nonclinical. He does not diagnose, provide medical advice, or make treatment decisions.

How Scott thinks: a practice's incentives eventually show up in the patient experience. Build the business so that doing right by the patient is also the most sustainable path.

Patient SuccessNonclinical coordination, so nothing falls through the cracks.

Patient Success handles onboarding, testing logistics, scheduling, communication, and navigation, and can explain program structure and current written pricing. Patient Success does not interpret results, diagnose, recommend a therapy, promise eligibility, change a dose, or advise on side effects. Those questions are routed to a clinician.

Christina Warner brings 25 years of clinical experience and a deeply personal understanding of what it means to be dismissed by a system that does not always see the whole person.
Her work is shaped by her own experience with life-threatening postpartum heart failure and later uncovering Bartonella as a hidden driver behind neurocognitive symptoms affecting mood, memory, focus, and daily function.
Those experiences shaped her belief that the body cannot be treated in pieces.

Our Clinical Philosophy

Correction comes before optimization.

At HFW, we evaluate health through nine interconnected categories:

01
Gut Health
Digestive function, microbiome balance, absorption, inflammation, food reactivity, and gut-related symptoms.
02
Hormonal Health
Estrogen, progesterone, testosterone, thyroid, cortisol, insulin, DHEA, and the patterns that influence energy, mood, sleep, libido, weight, and recovery.

03

Metabolic Health
Blood sugar, insulin, lipids, body composition, cravings, weight resistance, and long-term cardiometabolic risk.

04

Inflammation
Inflammatory patterns that may affect pain, fatigue, brain fog, recovery, hormone signaling, immune function, and aging.
05
Mitochondrial and Cellular Energy
Cellular energy production, oxidative stress, fatigue patterns, recovery capacity, and resilience.

06

Nutrient Status
Deficiencies, absorption issues, cellular nutrient demand, and the patterns that may affect energy, mood, immunity, hormones, and repair.

07

Stress, Sleep, and Nervous System Patterns
Cortisol rhythm, sleep quality, stress response, recovery capacity, mood, and resilience.

08

Immune Function and Resilience
Immune activity, reactivity, chronic inflammatory patterns, infection resilience, and long-term immune health.

09

Biological Age and Organ-System Health
How your body may be aging beneath the surface, including organ-system patterns that may help guide prevention and longevity planning.
Our clinical philosophy

Correction comes before optimization

HFW evaluates health through nine interconnected foundations, then corrects what is meaningful before optimizing anything on top.

  • Gut health
  • Hormonal health
  • Cellular function
  • Metabolic health
  • Inflammation
  • Mitochondrial function
  • Immune function
  • Detox pathways
  • Stress resilience and cognition

How it works

Test, correct, optimize, monitor

A long-term clinical relationship, not a rushed visit.

1Free consultation.Symptoms, history, goals, and what has already been tried.

A free telehealth call with an advanced care clinician to decide whether HFW is the right fit and what to test first.

2Testing and the Health Blueprint.Advanced testing, read in context, with clear priorities.

Testing is selected because the result would change a decision. Your clinician interprets it alongside your history and goals and builds a prioritized plan. See the testing →

3Correct and restore. The underlying contributors, in a deliberate order.

Gut, inflammation, nutrients, sleep, immune balance, hormones, and metabolic health are addressed first or alongside anything more advanced.

4Optimize, then maintain.Selected therapies when appropriate, and ongoing monitoring.

Your plan may include nutrition, lifestyle strategy, supplements, medications, or advanced therapies when clinically appropriate. Members retest with TruHealth each quarter with a scheduled clinician review, and the plan follows the results. See membership →

HFW is not a replacement for emergency care, primary care, or specialist care. Care is 100% telehealth; HFW is self-pay and does not bill insurance.

Longevity Membership

Make it part of a full year.

Most people do not fail because the plan was wrong. They fail because no one tracked it. Membership is for people ready to make a commitment to healthy aging, or to longer-term corrective care and health optimization: the testing, the clinician, and the coaching around your plan all year, retesting each quarter and adjusting as the results change. Not every plan has to be a membership; testing and focused care visits stand on their own.

Frequently Asked Questions

HFW is clinician-led with physician medical direction. Dr. Saul Maslavi, MD is HFW’s Medical Director, a board-certified family medicine physician with more than 20 years of experience, providing medical direction, complex-case oversight, and clinical policy. Christina Warner, APN-C is an advanced care clinician and board-certified women’s health nurse practitioner with more than 20 years of experience, who conducts evaluations, reviews testing, develops and adjusts plans, and evaluates prescription eligibility within her licensed scope. Eric Landi, DC is co-founder and Functional Medicine Clinical Lead. Prescription decisions are evaluated and issued by an appropriately authorized HFW prescriber.

Advanced care clinician is HFW’s term for a qualified patient-facing clinical professional who evaluates patients, reviews testing, builds and adjusts care plans, and works within their licensed scope. It is not a way of blurring credentials. Each clinician’s actual license and role is listed on this page, and prescribing is done only by an appropriately authorized HFW prescriber.

Dr. Saul Maslavi, MD is HFW’s Medical Director and a physician with more than 20 years of experience. His role is primarily medical direction rather than routine patient visits. He oversees complex cases, supports clinical escalation and policy, and helps keep HFW’s longevity and optimization model connected to conventional medical safety.

No, and that distinction matters. HFW has a physician medical director, an advanced practice clinician who prescribes within her scope, a functional medicine clinical lead, a nonclinical accountability and habit coach, and a nonclinical Patient Success Coordinator. Each person’s role and scope is stated openly on this page so you know who is making which decision about your care.

Anthony Reyes is HFW’s Accountability and Habit Coach with more than two decades of experience as a trainer. He helps you build consistent habits around nutrition, exercise, sleep, and other clinician-approved priorities. He does not diagnose, interpret testing, prescribe, select therapies, change doses, or manage side effects. Clinical questions go back to your advanced care clinician.

Patient Success handles the nonclinical side of your experience: onboarding, testing logistics, scheduling, communication, navigation, and making sure nothing falls through the cracks. Patient Success can explain program structure, current written pricing, and what happens next. Patient Success does not interpret results, diagnose, recommend a therapy, promise eligibility, change a dose, or advise on side effects. Those questions are routed to a clinician.

Clinical questions, including symptoms, side effects, dose questions, and result interpretation, go to your advanced care clinician through HFW’s secure patient workflow. Scheduling, testing kits, shipping, billing, and general logistics go to Patient Success. Severe, rapidly worsening, or potentially life-threatening symptoms are a medical emergency and require emergency care, not a message.

HFW was created to serve the space between reactive sick care and product-first optimization. The founders saw that traditional care, while essential, often lacks the time and structure to help healthy people act proactively or to help patients whose symptoms do not fit a clear disease label. They also saw an optimization market that frequently sold peptides or medications before doing the work to determine whether those tools were appropriate for the individual. HFW was built around a different idea: know the patient, test when it can change a decision, identify real priorities, and use the least intervention reasonably necessary.
